BLUE RIDGE TIMBERS offers a mixture of high-quality hardwoods which are common here in Northern Virginia, including Oak, Hickory, Cherry, Ash, Maple, Walnut, Beech, Birch and Sycamore to name a few. These species are carefully selected for their clean burning, high BTU heat output, and overall quality. Each type of firewood is seasoned and dried to perfection, resulting in a product that burns efficiently and provides excellent heat for your home or business needs.

We typically deliver our firewood orders the next day once the customers order is received. However we do try to arrange our delivery orders along with others that are going out that same day or week. You can also request our same day delivery option for an additional fee, or you can contact us and make arrangements to pick up your orders from our Woodyard located in the Uperville VA. area.

Due to the fact that most of our customers pay for there orders in person at the time of our delivery face to face, It is preferable for someone to be available to receive there firewood delivery order. However if no one will be available you can provide specific delivery instructions during the checkout process or simply coordinate with one of our customer support team in order to make alternative arrangements.

We offer Free Local delivery within a 15 mile radius of the Upperville VA area for first time customers, and within a 20 mile radius for our repeat customers. All of our Full Cord orders receive Free Delivery within a 20-mile radius. All deliveries outside of the 15- or 20-mile radius will be charged $1 per mile thereafter. You can contact us with your exact location, and we can pinpoint what if any of your delivery cost may be.

Yes, you can place and order with us and choose to pick up your items at our Upperville VA. Woodyard. We do however require our customers to call ahead and make arrangements as to not interfere with our day in and day out operations and timber deliveries.

The amount of firewood included in each box or rack that we use may very depending on the product and size option you choose. More Detailed information about the volume of each category can be found under the Firewood For Sale section on our website as this is a very good yet common question we get asked.

We utilize the (IBC) totes to store our firewood during its seasoning process as they are easy to maneuver around our woodyard, and aid in the drying process. For our repeat and frequent customers, we do provide them with the option of a 1- time nominal fee of $25 per tote to use them. How this works is we will deliver your firewood in these totes as they are stored at our woodyard for as long as you need them. Once you have become a repeat customer that fee is no longer applied as we value your repeat service. When you are ready to fulfill a new order with us, we will return with replacement full totes and remove the empty totes when we depart your location, at no additional charge. Many of or customers opt for this service as it eliminates the need for them to stack there firewood once we deliver it. The IBC totes we use are key to our day in and day out woodyard operations.

Our Firewood products come in the most common industry standard size (16") which is suitable for most fire pits, fireplaces, wood burning stoves, wood boilers and pizza ovens. We provide this size for each of those categories. If you have a specific size requirement please feel free to contact our customer support team, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Yes, our firewood is suitable for cooking and grilling. We even provide Pizza Oven sized split firewood which is a Premium item due to its much longer and time consuming method of splitting firewood into smaller pieces, and requires a more hands on approach in processing, but is the ideal use case such as cooking and grilling.

Yes we do on occasion sale to requesting customers firewood which has recently been processed but has not yet dried to its premium status. This firewood is sold at a discount, based on the amount the customer is requesting and on the amount that we have readily available at that time. We have also taken requests for just now processed firewood and sold it to requesting customers who purchased bulk just split firewood in advance of needing it, and simply allowed it to dry on there own property.

We work with many of our local Tree Service and Forestry companies that bring us timber that we process, and we have on occasion accepted timber from our customers to be processed into firewood. This of course would have to be discussed well in advance and all timber inspected for its size and quality prior to agreeing to do so.
